Here’s a quick Halloween activity based off a Mexican holiday called Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. I know these are two different holidays but this activity really set the atmosphere for the Halloween season in my classroom!

The kids had tons of fun. Plus this activity doesn’t take a lot of class time to do – just introduce Day of the Dead (PowerPoint below) then give them the skull outlines to color! You will be done in 30 minutes!
